May 31st, 2010

Most torrent clients come with a built-in search engine for finding torrents.  But because there so unorganized and because of the vast number of torrents that there are in the world it’s hard to use the search engine that’s inside of torrent clients to find torrents.  That’s why when you use the torrent search engine client on some search engines they just take you to a torrent site.

Torrents sites are meccas for torrent users.  They organize everything in a nice and easy fashion and offer advanced search engines features so people can find exactly what there looking for.  There torrent sites are frequented by millions of visitors a month and every few minutes a new torrent is uploaded to a torrent site in one of there many categories.  And as soon as there uploaded thousands of people immediately begin to download them if there slightly popular.

Bit Torrents

May 30th, 2010

Bit Torrent may refer to:

Bit Torrent (protocol), a peer-to-peer file sharing (P2P) communications protocol

Bit Torrent client, a program that downloads files using the Bit Torrent protocol

Bit Torrent, Inc., an American corporation that develops Internet content distribution technology based on the Bit Torrent protocol

Bit Torrent (software), the official Bit Torrent client

Bit Torrent is small file which contains all the information that needs for the info needed for the download which the torrent made for, it contains the file names, their sizes, location of download and many other information. We can get any torrents from various torrents search engines.

Torrents are the popular and familiar way of downloading large volume of data ranging from 1 BYTE to TERABYTES includes movie, games, etc..

The following are the famous search engines for torrents.

Torrentz.com

The most reliable search engine. It does not have its own torrent database, but it search on the other server database and gives the result, thus the result is with great accuracy and efficient.

Newtorrents.info

A well arranged search engine with a updated and new torrents, the torrent database are updated daily, the old updates can also be checked. if torrents is found to be bad or damaged then those are recognized fast and written in comments or even the torrent’s name (for example the NUKED prefix).

Isohunt.com – large and reliable search engine

Torrentspy.com – large engine but full of ads

Mininova.org – similar to new torrents, lots of torrents

Rlslog.net – a blog with news on torrents

Downloading a file with torrent is very cost effective and advantageous especially when downloading files, which are momentarily very popular when many people are started downloading. The reason behind this is that when more people starts downloading the file, the higher speed of downloading

This can be explained with torrent principle

The download sped increases to a large extent because more people download at the same time, the higher speed for everyone. when u are downloading a movie thru a torrent u share your already downloaded part of file to other people, when we start downloading, the application contacts a ‘tracker server’ which coordinates all the other application, From the tracker the application finds out where to download from, which parts have the other users already downloaded and also application informs the tracker about what part you were able to download until now – and by that it gives it at other users’ disposal.

There fore

torrent is a file

with torrents you can download almost everything on the net

every file (or set of files) need to have an unique torrent file to download it

to download anything through a torrent you need a torrent client

The original Bit Torrent client was written in Python and it has been made open-source.

Problem with torrents

A situation, when the tracker server is not functional may turn up. In that case we can’t begin downloading, but if we have started already, it doesn’t have to be necessarily a problem to finish the download .Then there may be no one downloading or sharing but you. Therefore we have nowhere to download from. This happens with old and unpopular torrents.

Theoretically a situation when there is nobody that has the file complete may come up (such user is called “seed” or “seeder”) and we simply can’t get the whole file together from the parts other users have.

Torrent clients

There is a large amount of free applications that are able to download with torrents.

Download the clients

uTorrent

The most commonly used torrent client. It is very popular for its simplicity, reliability and also its size – only around 200KB. The “u” at the beginning of the name means micro

Azureus

Another very favorite client, written in Java. It is highly customizable, whilst it has no complicated controls. This application is open-source. The program’s logo is the Blue Poison Dart Frog (Dendrobates azure us).

BitSpirit

A client famous for its possibility to download from private trackers without registration. Most commonly used to download from TorrentLeech.org, because this tracker usually provides downloads at amazing speeds

Torrent expressions

ü Seed is an user, which has the file completely downloaded and is sharing it.

ü Peer is every downloading user, that doesn’t have the file complete. After finishing the download becomes a seed.

ü Leech is practically the same as peer, sometimes it is a label for a peer with a very low UD ratio.

ü UD ratio is a rate between received and sent amount of data. It is modest to keep this at least on the value 1 (share the same amount you download)

ü Tracker is a server, that co-ordinates downloading of all users.

ü Swarm is a summary of all seeds and peers (so everybody connected to the tracker makes swarm).

The ERP software introduced after the research and analysis by Gartner in 1990. The ERP software systems now cover all the core functions of an organization, regardless of the firm’s business or charter. ERP Software Selection

May 10th, 2010

Enterprise resource planning is a system that integrates all functional department including planning, production planning, sales, HR, Finance, Purchase, Inventory etc. Earlier, ERP packages were not designed to support customization, but nowadays customizations are available nearly in all ERP packages.

For a company it is really a tough job to select right ERP. Selection of ERP software is a critical issue. Only key member can select the right ERP for the organization who has a minimum 5-6 years of experience in management level. At the time of selection we should focus on implementation and customization part, timeframe for implementation, cost and time for the customization.

The ERP software solution should be based on the processes in the concerned organization. Software should be from the same vertical like if you have discrete manufacturing then process manufacturing may not suite your requirement. Before finalization of any ERP you can demand for a client visit in similar kind of industries where same ERP is running successfully. This will help you to understand the exact timeframe and cost for implementation and customization in the similar kind of industries. Product may be good but not necessary that it will be good for you also.

Some ERP packages are very simple and ready to use with little customization which is expected in every implementation. In such cases, third party reporting tool that interface to particular ERP should be purchased. Some companies also have a web based ERP (3-tier architecture) systems that require no onsite implementation. This type of system can be access through web browser.

For successful implementation of ERP software users must be ready for change, for this change, management should drive them and explain all the benefits of ERP software. Management plays an important role in ERP software selection as well as successful implementation of ERP software.

Nick Mutt is an ERP consultant and has an in-depth knowledge of ERP and Business Management. To learn more about ERP and business strategies, read Business Management Books. Also know the Customization of ERP Software, cost, timeframe and benefits.

Three Things to Look For in ERP Software Evaluation

May 9th, 2010

Let’s face it – if your company grows, you are going to need to add some form of resource management to your systems to make your life easier. The most effective way of doing so is through ERP software, but finding the right solution for your ERP needs can be tough if you don’t know what you’re looking for. Therefore, the following three factors used in ERP software evaluation should always be integrated into the decision making process.

Redundancy Reductions

A company without a good Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system are going to waste a lot of resources. It’s as simple as that. The larger you grow, the more resources you have and the more redundant activities will occur. ERP software evaluation allows you to find a system that will reduce redundancies that your specific company is having.

For example, you may find that you are regularly having multiple employees entering the same data into your computers because they need it in different ways. Rather than combining databases, you are wasting resources to enter it twice. ERP software that allows you to access and use data in multiple formats will reduce this waste of time and money and make your business more efficient. There are dozens of such examples you should look for when performing your ERP software evaluation.

How It Will Affect Your Company

Integrating a new system into your business is a major undertaking. You need train your staff, restructure some departments and change nearly every process you perform on a daily basis. So, during ERP software evaluation, you should ask what changes are necessary, how much they will require from your team and how effective they will be in altering the overall efficiency of your business. If it’s not going to do all that much (as is the case for small businesses), get a less incursive system.

Matching Needs to Your Departments

Finally, when completing your ERP software evaluation, make sure you know exactly what your departments need and that the software will work within those boundaries. If you need to manage distribution, design, and quality control more efficiently, you need an ERP solution that will work as well in the factory as it does in the office. Toss in inventory control and information services and you are stretching to multiple offices and large data sets. ERP software evaluation should include a complete list of what you will need it for. You are going to need to appoint a few individuals to oversee implementation if your ERP system looks to affect more than just one or two departments (which it should).

In the end, ERP software evaluation will ensure that you take the time necessary to review the various ERP solutions on the market, matching the one that will best serve your company up with what you’re going to use it for. If you can manage this, you’ll save time, money, and ultimately, a whole lot of stress in the process.

Michael Kelly is a managing director for CRM-ERP, providing quality tools for ERP software evaluation to make the best choice for any company.
