Wow, you gotta love the simplicity and elegance of JQuery, no wonder it became the most widely used JavaScript library in the world!
This video is cool but it really gives you no idea of what Ajax is capable of
what we really need to see is a simple but slick and effective example of how to streamline the whole user experience using Ajax

The acronym for “asynchronous JavaScript and XML” is AJAX.

deafjackomonster, in a nutshell ajax is a framework for javascript that allows for sending a request to the server and only update/add content to specific part of the existing page, as oppose to refreshing the entire page. Example; if you want to get the next image on a gallery, with ajax you could replace the current image with the next one from the server, you don’t need to refresh the entire page when requesting for the next image from the server. I hope this helps.
